♦ KENWOOD TS-940S Unit is in good condition, our local Ham Club made a contact with it to ascertain operating okay. Automatic antenna tuner needs realigning. $350.00, obo.
♦ KENWOOD TS440S I have used this unit very satisfactorily. Recently, it has displayed a fading out of received signals at times. I haven’t been able to locate anyone local to realign it. $150.00 obo.
♦ DRAKE TR4 Transceiveer, with companion Receiver RV4. The combination allows for split-band operation. I have had many years of enjoyment with this rig. VCARA ARES Group – Updates April 24th, 2013
ARES Group: Chris Gillespie, W5CSG, is the chair of the VCARA ARES Committee. He has also the Valencia County District Emergency Coordinator (VC-DEC). Charlie Lyon, NM5CL, is the VCARA-ARES Net Control Operator.
♦ ARES Net: The net meets every other Wednesday on the same day as the Coffee Klatch. The net is held on the VCARA repeater at 146.700 MHz negative offset, 100Hz tone, beginning at 7:30 pm local time with Charlie Lyon, NM5CL, as net control operator. All licensed operators are welcome to check into the net.

♦ Event Scheduled (recurring) 4th Saturday of each month at 9:00 am at Clubhouse: ARES meeting. Chris, our DEC, would like all ARES members to attend these meetings to receive training, participate in exercises, etc. If you are interested in ARES but not a member yet you are also invited to attend.
